Running and trips
It's been a busy but great couple of weeks.
Two weekends ago my friend Denise came to town. It's always awesome to see a friendly face that understands you. Friends like that are hard to find. Matt and I went on a trip to Salt Lake to pick up Denise and another friend, Molly, and go to the zoo. Anne Marie insisted on WALKING (with a hand) the entire zoo. She was definitely more into imitating other kids than the animals.
Sunday we went to Teton Park and met up with Greg, Denise's husband. It was so beautiful there! There was still some snow, but not too much, and the weather was perfect for hiking. It wasn't too hot, and wasn't too cold. I wish we could have stayed longer. Here's some photos from the weekend.
Then, last weekend, we went to Missoula to see Matt's parents. We went garage-saleing and found out that in Missoula, where baby items aren't as hot (less kids), you can get some really good deals. I refreshed Anne Marie's wardrobe at 50 cents an outfit, brought home a horse that sings when you ride it for $3, a basketball hoop with balls ($1.50) and some thing you can push around. Very successful.
On the successful note, I also ran 6.5 miles! I didn't die, but I did perform an act of eco-terrorism- I puked on an ugly golf course community they built in the pretty woods. Note for next time: don't eat French toast, then put on the shoes and run.
