Working Mommy Wednesday

How do you carve out personal time for yourself?

The short answer is, I don't sleep. My kids usually aren't asleep until 10- by then, I want to do more, but what I end up doing is watching TV and checking e-mail, then sitting in a coma until about midnight or so, then collapsing until work. It's pretty lame, really.

Any ideas?

  1. It's hard making time for ourselves - our schedules are go go go, when we do get a minute, we just want to veg out. I completely understand!

  2. Yeah I went through that cycle, for some reason watching TV for several hours doesn't seem to count as "me" time. It's more like a lost vortex. What I found that works for me is going to bed at 10, waking up at 5 or 6 when I'm more awake and alert to do stuff for myself before the kids wake up. I might mean forcing yourself to do a quick workout to wake up but it might be worth it to feel more productive with giving yourself some personal time. Good luck!

    BTW, I laugh every time I come here at seeing Thomas in a grass skirt. So cute!!
